In this work I wanted to capture the deep bonds and silent understanding between a father and his son - a universal symbol of protection and love. The tender posture and intense gaze reinforce the feeling of security. The birds in the background symbolize freedom and the fleeting moments that father and child share as they look to the future together. This image brings an atmosphere of calm and deep connection to any home.
Sarah Hamm is an experienced German artist who has lived in France since 2023. She studied at art academies in Nürtingen, Esslingen, and Stuttgart in Germany. The theme of her paintings is usually art itself: the interplay of colors and compositions. For example, in the painting "Family on the Move," the primary colors yellow, red, and blue dominate, representing the basic form of society found within the family. Alongside this are other works that explore the wonder of nature, such as "Clouds," a painting that thrives on the contrast between a clear sky and the dark clouds that drift across it on a deeper plane. Each painting tells its own story, depicting people living in and with nature, and nature itself, which is subject to a higher order.
