About this artwork
This piece bursts with vibrant energy, capturing the joyous renewal after winter’s end. Using bold acrylic colors and spontaneous ink strokes, I poured my emotions of hope and awakening onto the canvas. It invites you to feel the uplifting transition of seasons and fills your space with a lively, optimistic spirit that celebrates life’s endless cycles of growth and color.
The work is part of the Song of Songs series. The Song of Songs is a poetic… section of the Old Testament, telling the passionate story of a young couple on their way to marriage.
The work was featured in my solo exhibitions in 2024-25 at Galleria A2, Helsinki, Galleria Becker, Jyväskylä, and Galleria Saskia, Tampere, Finland. I have read the texts in Finnish and English versions. That is why the paintings are found with the same title. The text on the work reads - Winter is gone, the rain has abated, it has faded away. Flowers rise from the ground, the time of song has come, wood pigeons are cooing everywhere.
Sari Moilala (BFA) is a painter with a background rooted in lifelong color exploration and formal art school training, culminating in abstract painting. She employs intuitive techniques and large-scale abstract expressionism, favoring memorized color harmonies, fluid movement, and spontaneity without pre-planning. Her vibrant, energetic works channel the spiritual beauty of nature and song, aiming to evoke joy, love, and positive energy in every viewer.
