About this artwork
This work of mine, made with acrylic colors and graphite, explores the concept of resilience through the figurative representation of a nature that is at times harsh and threatening. The dark shades and bare shapes of the trees reflect the struggle for survival, a universal theme that touches the deepest chords of the human soul. I tried to capture not only the desolation, but also a silent hope that creeps in between the turbulent traits, promising… an unexpected strength in challenges. This is a work that invites reflection, bringing energy and depth to every space in which it is placed.
Sascia (stage name of Sandra Iurescia), attracted by drawing and painting since childhood, lives and works in Rome. She has a basic education in watercolor, oil, acrylic and collage. She creates works through instinctive painting, experimenting with mixed techniques and intense palettes that reflect her emotional and spiritual sphere. Attracted by nature and earthly elements, her works communicate an introspective and emotional journey into her "places of the soul", a continuous restlessness that searches for the roots of her emotions.
