About this artwork
The day my hometown sowed the seeds, the color of the indigo shirt glittered on the fields and fields along the hillside. The people of my hometown are all radiant and full of hope in a new bumper season. As for us kids, we all ran happily across the hillside to catch crickets and dig up the leftover sweet potatoes from last season that have now sprouted. In order to prevent birds and chickens from coming to eat the seeds, the people in my hometown…
use white paper to tie small trees to make the birds afraid to come. Mother also used old hats and clothes to build scarecrows with arms, legs, and heads to guard the seeds to germinate peacefully.
In the spring weather, everything seems to be reviving, the new earth seems to be spreading, in the unit, I can hear the gentle stirring of the seed that is taking root in the homeland.
