This work expresses the social harmony of Yin-Yang, through black and white colors and contrasting surface.
Yin-yang is the perfect total of both parts, where one is essential to the other in creating harmony.
The black artwork protrudes from the surface of the artwork, while the white artwork recedes from the surface of the artwork.
I used contrasting surface and color as my technique to represent the… yin and yang.
The work has many different topographical features and is visually striking.
Each pig figurine measures 0.5" x 1" x 0.5".
All of the pigs are made out of ceramic.
Each pig is handmade, a mold was not used because it is a meditative practice of hand-building in which I create imagery and objects in mass that speak to both our uniqueness and anonymity. The frame is ready to hang on a wall. Aluminum bar hanger on the back.
