“I never thought I could fall in love with an animal like this” – Lagerfeld.
Choupette (French for Sweetie) was the beloved pet of the late fashion designer, Karl Lagerfeld. He pet-sat for one of his friends, and didn’t want to give her back. Her distinctive white fur and big blue eyes were loved by everyone,… and Choupette became a model in a number of magazines. She earned $3 million in 2014 alone, from just 2 photo shoots. She travelled the world with Lagerfeld on his private jet and even after his death, she lives a life of luxury in her own apartment with a personal nanny. Lagerfeld left $1.3 million to her in his will, so that she can continue to live her life of luxury. His friends observed that while he projected strength in his day to day life, he could let his guard down with Choupette and share his sensitive side.
