About this artwork
I love a rough, rocky, dramatic seascape - It speaks to me. This artwork was inspired one evening at Lizard Point, Cornwall. Rocks and water get me thinking. There's something very reassuring about a rock unphased by the moods of the sea. I have been reading about Van Gogh and Paul Gaugin, and I think their palette must have influenced the choice of colours in this work.
