About this artwork
In this work, I explored a fantastical and archaic animality. A raw emotion, without cortex, is expressed with aesthetic curves and colors. Art is not just a view of the mind but a window open onto complex inner worlds, inviting the viewer to dive into a universe where conventions are challenged. As an anecdote, I was inspired by a real dinosaur for the skull, after a visit to the Natural History Museum in Paris.

Why Shank ARTE?
Shank is for Shankar, a Hindu first name which reflects my paternal Indian origins (via Mauritius).
As for my mother, who came to lighten the dark skin of my Indo-Mauritian origins, she is French with an Italian father, hence Arte, and a European mother (mainly British).
On my father's side, as on my mother's side, it's exile.
You should know that I am also a pharmacist!!!
Am I the only pharmacist (2000), graphic designer (2011), artist (1975), in France, or even in the world? I haven't checked...
