About this artwork
Colorfield abstract geometric painting celebrating color. This painting on canvas is a true statement piece. This painting exudes fun, happiness and celebration. It looks equally well hung vertical or horizontal. Yellow, green, blue, red, pink, orange, aqua. A rainbow of colors. My practice is a fluid exploration of line and color. This colorful, intuitive abstract painting is on a stretched canvas, ready to hang. I continue to experiment and… evolve as an artist, trying different colors, materials and techniques constantly. Titled, signed and dated on the back, Sharon Pierce McCullough.
« Art is entwined in my being, it always has and it always will be. »
Sharon Pierce McCullough is a multidisciplinary artist working as a painter and sculptor. Her experimental practice includes abstract expressionism and geometric abstraction, often in series. Her use of vivid colors is one of the most striking elements of her work, incorporating a thread of “fun”. She works spontaneously and intuitively, exploring the relationship of positive and negative space, color and form. Her original artwork has been collected and displayed in private homes, businesses, children’s hospitals and public buildings across the United States. She is an internationally recognized artist and author/illustrator of over 30 children's books.
