About this artwork
I was walking home and saw this child by herself in the evening light of a city playground, lifting her face to delight in this freedom and thrill. All that surrounded her faded in the moment where sunlight met sparkling water drops and joy erupted in the ordinary, for her and for me in the remembered pleasure.
