About this artwork
I created image that shells are sleeping in the tent.
The Shell series based on shells are inspired by the fact that shells do not change shape even after death.
I created this work because I felt that the way in which a shell is recognized as a shell even when its contents no longer exist is linked to the way humans maintain sociality and live.
In my artwork, I've captured the essence of serene tranquility and the subtle interplay of nature's forms.… The delicate collage elements and the relief printing technique unite to depict a shell, symbolizing protection and the gentle embrace of the earth. It's a piece that invites contemplation, inspiring a sense of calm and a connection to the timeless beauty of the natural world. Bringing this piece into a home means infusing the space with a meditative, soft presence that speaks to the soul.
