About this artwork
The rock burns beneath your hands, your body tenses, every muscle works in time with the movement. Climbing here is no longer a sport, but a dance with gravity – raw, honest, intense.
Red and violet glow like inner energy propelling the climber upward. The rope provides security, but the true strength comes from within: courage, determination, passion. Every grip, every movement is a commitment to persevere, to keep going—even when the wall is… steep and demanding.
My new acrylic painting speaks of this power that can be felt in sport climbing, bouldering, and mountaineering. It draws you into the moment, into the struggle with the rock and with yourself. For athletes interested in art, it's more than a picture—it's an impulse, a call to push your own boundaries and continually start anew.
Silvia Lehmann combines acrylic and mixed media. By layering acrylic on top of each other and spontaneously composing the image, she achieves depth and unexpected background elements. Her art comes into direct contact with the viewer. She conveys motivation, joy, attitude to life and self-worth with a fascinating simplicity that allows the viewer to immerse themselves emotionally in her vibrations.
