About this artwork
A backyard pheasant photographed in a mystical light. A beautiful bird that is often seen as very ordinary, but whose magnificent coloring I wanted to highlight in this painting. The atmosphere and color scheme of the work, with its coppery hues, is quite 70s.
I have created structure in the feather bedspread with plenty of paint. I have emphasized the atmosphere of the dim and perhaps even foggy garden with my impressionistic style.
