About this artwork
Watercolor and oil on board 30x45 cm. Not framed.
This painting beautifully combines the delicate translucency of watercolor with the rich texture of oil to create a surreal, dreamlike scene. A majestic whale, its body a blend of soft blues and whites, glides gracefully across a vibrant sky. On its back stands a lighthouse, its sturdy frame contrasting with the fluidity of the whale. The lighthouse radiates a soft, guiding light, casting a warm… glow that blends with the cool tones of the whale and sky. The overall effect is a fascinating balance between fantasy and realism, evoking a sense of wonder and tranquility.
This painting will be shipped from Italy in a cardboard box.
For Italy and EU countries shipping will take 1-5 working days. For other countries 3-14 working days to prepare customs documentation. For any information contact me.
Evgenia Smirnova was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia, one of the most beautiful art cities in the world, which greatly influenced her perception of art and beauty. However, she began painting at the age of 26 after moving to Sicily, Italy, where she pursued her education at the private art school of the Sicilian painter Salvo Coglitori. There, she discovered her passion for color. Later, she took a Mastery Program at the Milan Art Institute, where she revealed her unique artistic voice.
In the last three years, her paintings have been exhibited in Rome, Milan, Venice, Arte Padova 2021, Arte Genova 2022, Saint Petersburg, Taiwan, and other locations. In 2024 Guy Laliberté acquired one of her paintings for the public collection of Lune Rouge."
"Evgenia defines her art as whimsical poetry. She enjoys speaking about freedom and the exploration of ourselves and our true desires. Evgenia says: 'There are no boundaries in art or in life. Life is meant to be lived.'"
