About this artwork
During the time period I created this artwork, I was trying to explore and paint the energy a woman's back holds. It is so delicate, so "feminine" yet so strong. During this exploration, my painting started talking to nature, trying to grasp the breadth of ocean and the beauty of the moon.
Deep down, it's a celebration- a celebration of the strength and power of a "tiny" female where the dance between a woman, the moon and the sea at night becomes… so divine, ecstatic that it all blends into one. It becomes hard to point out where does the beauty of moon ends and that of her steps or sands or waves begin. It is just very hard for me to put any of these feelings in words.
