About this artwork
In my work, I sought to capture the ephemeral essence of a foggy morning. The palm trees are outlined against a diaphanous background, their shapes float, evoking a gentle melancholy. Using acrylic and oil, I favored impressionism to create the dreamlike atmosphere that emerges from the painting, inviting dreams and reflection. This painting is a breath of tranquility; it will diffuse a quiet and contemplative energy in your interior.
« Above all, I want to convey a certain atmosphere in my works. My biggest challenge is to be able to communicate and share these emotions through my work. »
Solveiga is an award-winning artist who resides in France and has exhibited nationally as well as in the United States. Her pieces are suggestive, in the way that they skirt the balance between abstract and figurative. Solveiga paints her compositions in series, offering a level of detail that leaves room for imagination and dreamlike interpretations. She works with a mixture of oils and acrylics as well as different patinas, obtaining rich nuances through transparent layers.
