About this artwork
The picture depicts my entry into Punta Licosa.
The sound of the sea in the breath of time, fragrant vegetation, long shadows that linger.
A place that doesn't welcome, but opens itself to me/you.
It's the beginning of every arrival on the peninsula: you step inside and suddenly you feel as if time stands still, you leave everything behind for a moment, the trees open like a tunnel, and the further you go in, the more intense the scent of the… forest and the sea becomes. All you hear is a rustling in the wind. Rays of light warm your heart. You have to let yourself go and simply feel.

Sonja Kalmanfi is a painter who creates her art on canvas and paper using pastels, acrylics, watercolors, and mixed media.
