About this artwork
The work shows a deer in human form holding and protecting a monkey.
AMINO POSTURE is a series of human (mostly female) figures, again in dance or interaction, but also captured in innocently suggestive poses. I'm searching for answers to the question of how else one can understand flight and the simultaneously rising toxic male power that makes us women (even me) more cautious. Animals are particularly symbolic of this, and they also play various… symbolic roles in Lars von Trier's film Antichrist: hare, deer, fox. But the horse and the dog, as symbols of the humanized animal, also appear in the series.
