Sophia Rodionov, a painter who resides in Israel, has exhibited nationally, as well as in the United States, India, Bulgaria, Russia and Italy. She believes in the power of an empty space, which has the same significance for her as any other object. Rodionov’s art is also inspired by the Japanese term ‘ma’, indicating a pause, which she feels is an important concept relating to life and art. She creates using watercolors, in a loose style of flowing colors.
