About this artwork
I renamed this canvas from the "Confidential Tears" series because it has an underground feel, which I grasped some years ago, both in its conception and the handling of dark colors, as well as in the textured, dripping effect that I loved so much at the time. This canvas is about ten years old now, and it hasn't aged at all; its format is unusual, and finally, its size is versatile. It's a piece that evokes movement, grace within chaos.
Tell us about your beginnings. How did painting enter your life? A meeting with a friend, Boris, truly rekindled my passion for art. Discovering his work, I understood that it was possible to materialize mental images. Fascinated, I began to analyze and observe a multitude of artists. My passion, far from waning, continued to grow and elevate me. Subsequently, I intellectually explored numerous subjects to give a deeper meaning to my practice. However, my attraction to painting was born much earlier, in my childhood, through my grandmother, my mother, and other family members. Did you receive formal art training (art school) or are you self-taught? How has this influenced your practice? I attended the Sorbonne, but above all I understood there that I did not wish to approach art through academic transmission.
