About this artwork
“Undefined Definitions” is a visual meditation on the shifting landscapes of the subconscious.
Our memory is an entangled, layered phenomenon — a web of impressions, fragments, and echoes that rarely appear in clear form.
This piece is an ongoing attempt to define the undefinable: to grasp fleeting moments, half-formed sensations, and inner images that surface from the subconscious without precise shape or narrative.
The work captures that space… between knowing and not knowing — where memory becomes atmosphere, emotion, and vibration rather than a coherent story.
It is a portrait of the mind’s hidden architecture, a map of what cannot be fully articulated, yet continues to influence us from beneath the surface.
Stefania Fiedler is a painter and interdisciplinary artist from Uzbekistan, now based in Poland, working primarily in painting - acrylic and watercolor, with a rich academic background from the Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts Poznań. Currently PhD candidate at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. She employs expressive, sometimes chaotic––yet structured––techniques, blending expressionism with meditative daily sketches, and often experimenting with other materials within her installations. Her art acts as a portal to the subconscious, seeking to materialize inner emotions and invite deep reflection, ultimately conveying transformation, self-inquiry, and the nourishment of the soul through creativity. Alongside her artistic practice, she works in social art and creative education. What matters most to her is creating spaces in which each person can discover their own creative potential and reconnect with the Artist within.
