About this artwork
"Devotion" a pair of lovers made of shiny polished bronze.
In this bronze sculpture, I have portrayed the deep emotions of embrace and connection. The smooth, flowing lines emphasize the devotion of the lovers, creating an atmosphere of harmony and peace. This work of art symbolizes the power and beauty of human relationships and will add a warm and inviting energy to any space it occupies.
The posture of the characters is very important to me,… how they relate to each other, whether as a couple, in a group, or alone. Body language often conveys more than verbal communication.
As much as possible, I create my bronzes myself, including the mold making, the wax models, and, after casting, the chasing, polishing, and patination. This gives her the opportunity to make changes and improvements at every step of the process.

The path of German painter and sculptor Stefanie von Quast led from studies in painting and graphic design to training in sculpture and bronze casting. She utilizes a variety of techniques and materials to seamlessly transition between painting and sculpture, with particular attention to color, drawing, and surface texture. The focus is on the human being from a unique, positive perspective. Body language and posture intuitively reflect the dynamics of interpersonal relationships.
For several years now, she has been painting using mixed media on thin stone slabs, blending the stone's natural grain with the painting. This represents a further step toward merging painting and sculpture. In her sculptures, special techniques create a harmonious blend of stone and bronze.
She has been working as a freelance artist for over 30 years, with regular exhibitions, art fairs and numerous commissions.
