About this artwork
Flows of various shades of blue intertwine on the white canvas, representing the conscience of man. Consciousness floats on the canvas, but at the same time it is linked by the chains of society, which direct it into a single space, a single time. The artist strikes the conscience with white "lashes", to urge it to free itself from the constraints of what it knows and recover a primitive, creative purity, which broadens its capacity for imagination.…
Here then is that the picture lights up and the process of liberation that is taking place in consciousness appears, through the deconstruction of categories that imprison man, that is time and space: clocks break up and cross the space of the canvas, to meaning that time frees itself from its gears and explodes in a space that is no longer physical but abstract. Man, by going beyond the limits of what he knows, can open himself to unknown, creative dimensions, in a continuous exploration of "beyond" and "elsewhere".

Stefano Di Loreto is an award-winning painter and sculptor based in Italy whose works have been exhibited in prestigious art events nationwide, such as the 57th International Art Exhibition La Biennale di Venezia in 2017, as well as in the United Arab Emirates, the United States, the United Kingdom, France and the Netherlands. Di Loreto uses his art as a tool to raise awareness in society on issues such as climate emergency, pollution, globalization but also to stimulate the human soul to a more interior and profound reflection on time, consciousness and ethics of contemporary man.
