About this artwork
The artist composes a hymn to life. On the white canvas, a symbol of innocence, a silver clock is broken down into its gears. Some gold colored "whips" hit and break the clock, symbol of mechanical time and its frenzy, to recover natural time, the rhythm of life. From the deconstructed gears, bright colors are released and mixed: blue, purple, which express the explosive energy, power and charm of life. Even in the darkest times: post-covid, wars,… dictatorships, the bloodiest violence, the instinct for life screams from the heart, roars, protests; life rebels against death, it is the joy that sings where silence is imposed, it is the hope that does not die under the rubble of destruction; life dresses itself in joy and illuminates the darkest nights, brings carnival to the coldest winters, lights up the emptiest squares with dances. The artist thus celebrates life with a colorful hymn, which joyfully shouts "Viva la Vida!"
« My art is a mirror of contemporary man: the deeper one looks, the more consciousness is stirred. This is where beauty comes from. »
Stefano Di Loreto is an award-winning painter and sculptor based in Italy whose works have been exhibited in prestigious art events nationwide, such as the 57th International Art Exhibition La Biennale di Venezia in 2017, as well as in the United Arab Emirates, the United States, the United Kingdom, France and the Netherlands. Di Loreto uses his art as a tool to raise awareness in society on issues such as climate emergency, pollution, globalization but also to stimulate the human soul to a more interior and profound reflection on time, consciousness and ethics of contemporary man. He has created a unique and recognizable style that he called "Conceptual Deconstruction".
