About this artwork
Through this work, I wanted to capture the fleeting intensity of glory intertwined with fate. The crown on this skull, a royal emblem, slowly decomposes over time, a reminder of the vanity of our ambitions. The withered flowers and realistic details, painted in acrylic, oil, and ink, reinforce this contrast between beauty and decay, filling your space with an energy that is both melancholic and powerful.
He mainly uses ink, acrylic and oil, drawing on training at the Fine Arts School in Marseille and inspired by his attachment to light and the sea. His technique combines realism and expressionism, favoring the square format and portraiture, intensely exploring the human in its particular and universal aspects. Through his works, he seeks to reveal hidden emotions, questioning the observer and pushing him to a deep introspective reflection.
