About this artwork
The punk lingers on the turquoise-and-black tiled wall – caught between urban harshness and quiet reflection. Still engrossed in Foucault's *The Order of Things*, his reading becomes an act of self-observation. In the background, "Time" serves as a reminder of transience, while "We Are" asserts collective existence – both constants within a shifting realm of meaning.
Surveillance now enters the picture: A camera… focuses on him, transforming intimacy into publicity, thought into an observed event. Behind him appears an elegantly dressed figure with a pig's head – simultaneously grotesque and symbolically charged. It seems like a silent portrait of societal masks, power structures, and moral ambiguity.
This large-format work condenses rebellion, philosophy, and control into a powerful visual language. It poses a question: Who is watching whom – and who are we when we are seen?
