In creating this piece, I melded layers of acrylic and spray paint with reclaimed objects to conjure a vibrant tapestry of life's chaos and beauty. This artwork, rooted in pop art and given depth through semi-abstraction and symbolism, captures the raw, untamed energy of human experiences. The white, simplified figure amidst the vivid, textured backdrop symbolizes clarity and peace found amidst life's complexities. Ethereal and evocative, this piece… resonates with a spirited essence that invigorates any space with emotion and color.
« Old is still beautiful, what exists is enough, and art is everywhere. »
After surviving a cancer diagnosis, mixed‑media artist Stephanie Dillon turned to painting as a healing language and discovered her life’s work. Self‑taught, she layers found materials, acrylics, and bold color to transform pain and gratitude into dynamic, richly textured compositions. Each canvas carries a hidden word hand‑painted on the back that anchors her intention and inspires the work’s narrative. Her signature Untitled series comprises works she intentionally leaves without titles; Dillon refuses to name her pieces, inviting viewers and collectors to assign their own meanings and connections. Through her art, she celebrates the power of creativity to heal, connect, and ignite hope.
