About this artwork
In this series of paintings, Stephanie remains faithful to her interest in observing human activities in the metropolitan city life and fascination in the silhouette of the human figures. Inspired by the gloomy English weather, the palette chosen in Rain-Bow 17 create a contrast to the melancholy feeling on a rainy day.
Based mainly on photographs, the figure are carefully choreographed. Stephanie wants viewer to focus on the details of people.… The minimalist background gives viewer space for imagination, applying the content to their own experiences.
Each figure is hand painted with great details using tiny paint brushes. The composition continued round the edge. The painting is ready to hang and no framing needed.
« Every single figure is carefully positioned, just like composing a piece of music. »
