About this artwork
A plein-air painting of a tractor in the field after it cut the hay. In the distance is Allens Pond and the Atlantic Ocean beyond. On the horizon are the Elizabeth Islands and Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts. The scent of hay and saltwater infuse the air making for a cherished summer memory. The painting measures 12" high by 16" wide. It's painted with professional grade acrylics on a 1/8" Ampersand brand museum quality panel. It's unframed and… can rest on a mantle or bookshelf, or it can be framed. The painting of this is featured in the "In the studio" video on the artist's main page.
« I’m attracted to items built or left by others that weren’t intended to be objects to contemplate. I want to be to art what Robert Frost is to poetry. »
