About this artwork
Nocturne in Bloom marks the moment I allowed myself to paint with pure imagination and joy. I leaned into surreal storytelling, letting hidden animals, moonlit florals and playful textures emerge naturally from the layers. This piece represents my willingness to explore mystery and wander- and trust my intuition more boldly.
This surreal nocturne reveals a hidden world within the night garden. A hedgehog curls in crimson petals, a koi swims through… a white bloom, a great bluebird spreads its wings from layered flowers, and a peacock glimmers below among leaf shaped fish. Laced with golden vines and moonlit hues, the piece blurs the line between flora and fauna- inviting viewers to discover the quiet life the awakens after dark.
Created on a canvas board, the work is designed for flexible presentation and can be beautifully displayed in a float frame or traditional frame depending on the space.
