About this artwork
The Perfumer I is part of The Perfumer, a fine art photographic series in which I explore fragrance as a symbol of ritual, memory, and identity. In this work, I wanted to portray a moment of stillness and concentration, where the act of holding a perfume bottle becomes a gesture of care, introspection, and preservation.
Set within a Gothic-inspired space and surrounded by candlelight, glass vessels, and an open book, the image evokes a sense of… mystery and quiet ceremony. For me, fragrance is more than scent; it becomes a way of speaking about memory, presence, and the invisible traces of emotion that remain long after a moment has passed.
