About this artwork
With "Seventies," I present a powerful work in a vibrant color scheme, stylistically reminiscent of the expressive formal language and color sensibility of the 1970s. Organically curved surfaces in pink, orange, green, and gray merge into a dynamic composition that appears both spontaneous and controlled.
The clearly defined color segments, framed by black contour lines, are reminiscent of the Hard Edge style, while the soft shapes and bright colors… evoke associations with psychedelic graphics, retro design, and 1970s pop culture. The interplay of color and form creates a sense of movement, almost dance-like, and leaves room for free association.
Despite (or perhaps because of) the abstraction, Seventies seems emotionally charged - a colorful look back at a decade full of optimism, color and creative freedom.
The picture is framed in a black shadow gap frame.
Susanne is an abstract painter whose works have been exhibited both nationally and internationally. Her art unfolds beyond the representational—it invites immersion, feeling, and free association. Each composition is an expression of an inner impulse, a visual echo of her personal reflections and impressions.
With great sensitivity and a fine sense of color, structure, and balance, Susanne creates images that inspire and touch. Her artistic work is driven by the desire to create works that will accompany people for many years and bring them joy – in their spaces, in their everyday lives, in their lives.
Her works have been part of numerous exhibitions at home and abroad and speak a universal language beyond cultural boundaries. Susanne's art is an invitation and an encounter—a silent dialogue between canvas and viewer.
