Three wooden objects made from 100% bulky waste - Original by Sven Stornebel - Wood surface oiled/varnished - Handmade - Signed on the bottom
Sven Stornebel creates objects that function both as artistic sculptures and as practical pieces of furniture. This work straddles the border between art and design.
Kaja Ninnis - Staatliche Museen zu Berlin: "Other Side - In this work, Stornebel uses recycled materials, old furniture from the street—chipboard… or plywood—that are sawn, layered, and glued together. The name refers to the supposedly "unattractive" cut edge, which, in combination with various other materials, unfolds into an aesthetic model."
Welcome to the creative world of Sven Stornebel: a place where design, art and craftsmanship meet.
Sven Stornebel has made a name for himself as a social designer. In various roles, he has gone beyond the traditional work of a product designer and brought people from diverse backgrounds together through recycling, art, and design.
Sven Stornebel also loves creative experimentation with materials, forms, and colors. In his studio, he creates experimental works in the areas of wall sculpture, printmaking, and painting. The playful handling of available materials is at the heart of his artistic work.
Sven Stornebel runs a design studio for unique interior design and creative furniture design, a workshop for the implementation of innovative ideas, a studio for imaginative printmaking and painting, and a photo studio.
