About this artwork
In this creation, I sought to capture the tumultuous elegance of a winter storm. Using acrylic, oil, and plaster, I sculpted textures and swirls, mimicking the fierce dance of wind and snow. The dominant blues and whites convey both the cold's bite and the beauty of its serene, frosty embrace. This piece invites the viewer to feel the invigorating chill of nature's power, adding a dynamic, spirited energy to any space it occupies.

Svetlana Sokolova is a contemporary abstract artist whose work combines intuition, symbolism and vivid emotionality. Originally from Russia, she currently lives and works in Ecuador, where she draws inspiration from the amazing nature and warmth of the local people. Her artistic path has included many different exhibitions that reflected her inner changes and discoveries. In her paintings, she combines rich colors with fluid forms, allowing the viewer to experience emotion at a level “beyond words”. After moving to Ecuador, her work gained new life - in her works, a dialogue increasingly arises between a person’s inner state and the forces of the surrounding world. Svetlana’s works are in private collections around the world. Her signature style is a synthesis of a philosophical view and free abstraction, an invitation to stop, feel and look deeper.
