Pursuing this early calling, Sylvia completed her university studies with a degree in fine arts, specializing in sculpture.
A decade ago, compelled by the enduring need to shape and express with her own hands, Sylvia returned to the studio, devoting herself once more to painting and sculpture. The influence of her fashion background is palpable in her work: the human figure is central, rendered in close-up, often larger than life, their features and personalities distilled into sumptuous color and dynamic brushwork. Sylvia’s portraits—whether drawn from life or photographic observation—vividly capture the intricate play of emotion and character, their expressiveness magnified by her signature style of striking color combinations and carefully emphasized expressions.
