About this artwork
Japan has been a huge influence on the artist's work. She has visited several times and it has provided much inspiration. This mixed media collage painting is worked from a photo taken by the artist on a walk through a popular shopping area in Tokyo and it captures the lively hustle and bustle of the place. The collage papers were collected on the trip and include traditional papers including decoratrive origami paper as well as more everyday papers.…
