The painting carries a fierce center, but around it, the green bursts like life returning after struggle.
From the center of the painting, light and shadow collided, and the world around her began to bloom in green. Not the green of comfort, but the green of courage - the kind that appears after rain, after loss, after the long patience of becoming.
The green was never meant to be delicate. She was meant to survive, to transform, and to leave traces… of her arrival everywhere. Wherever she passed, the air felt charged, as if something old had been burned away and something brave has just begun !

Sylvia Wong is a passionate painter and photographer whose artistic journey began in childhood. Her love for art was nurtured through early art classes, fashion design training, a formative summer course in Como, Italy. Even as a student, her paintings often earned a spot on the classroom bulletin board, appreciated by teachers for their creativity and unique style.
Although her family had limited resources to support her artistic development, she never lost her connection with art. For practical reasons, she chose a different career path yet remained devoted to art appreciated throughout her life.
During Covid period, a chance encounter with one of her early paintings from her twenties rekindled her passion for creating. That renewed her commitment to build a second career in the arts during her retirement years. Today, Sylvia is pursuing a Diploma in New Ink Art in the Chinese University to refine her professional skills and explore new forms of creativity and vision.
