About this artwork
The title of this work means "scorched," like the landscape after a fire. In this piece, I wanted to represent an explosion of energy and pent-up emotion. I used oil paint to capture visceral impulses; the black lines represent the intensity and chaos created, while the warm touches of red and orange radiate passion and latent life. I wanted to convey that constant struggle between order and disorder that we feel, filling the space with intense movement…
that will transform any room into a vibrant and powerful corner.
