T A N E R M E R T Taner Mert is a contemporary Bulgarian artist. Working primarily with a painting spatula, the artist employs a distinctive and easily recognisable technique. His works are notable for their expressive narrative, dynamic compositions and rich colour palette; they skillfully blend modern energy with classical aesthetics. Over the years, Taner Mert has held more than 25 solo and group exhibitions in Bulgaria. His works are owned by private collectors and prominent figures not only in Bulgaria but also in countries such as Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, Hungary, Switzerland, the USA, Greece, Turkey and Qatar. The "Tanerism" movement and Taner Mert's unique artistic philosophy have made him one of the most notable representatives of contemporary Bulgarian art.
