About this artwork
“Garden in Utrecht” depicts my garden in Utrecht. In the background, part of our house is visible — it quietly recedes, allowing space for the green wilderness and the presence of purple flowers. I wanted to convey a sense of seclusion, warmth, and the living breath of nature that surrounds me every day.
I created this piece on linen canvas using acrylic and oil. The size is 100 × 100 × 4.5 cm. The image continues along the edges of the canvas,… making a frame optional — the painting feels complete on its own.
