About this artwork
In the creation of this piece, I delved into the rich textures of oil paint, blending figuration with abstract elements to evoke a sense of contemplation and resilience. The vivid stripes of purple slice through the muted earth tones, symbolizing barriers that both conceal and highlight the central figure's strength and vulnerabilities. It's a visual narrative on the human spirit's complexities, crafted to resonate and provoke thoughtful introspection… in any space it inhabits.
Tatiana Harizanova is an exciting Bulgarian painter who has exhibited her work nationally. She previously worked as a jeweller until 2007, when she decided to dedicate herself entirely to painting. Today, Harizanova composes curious representations of a range of subjects including people, houses, cities and landscapes. Alongside these representational works, she also creates abstract paintings that boast rich colour combinations and evoke a balanced energy.
