“In the Shadow of Light” – 50 x 70 cm, oil on canvas, semi-abstract
I created this painting to capture the moment between calm and tension. The figure lies half-hidden in shadow, while the light gently brushes over the body. The vibrant red symbolizes fervor and inner strength, which remains palpable despite the silence. The abstract background in turquoise and brown leaves room for personal interpretation—it represents the contrasts of warmth… and coolness, closeness and distance. For me, it's a painting about the hidden, yet luminous—a play between light and shadow.
