About this artwork
The artwork consists of three similar motifs, each with a different color scheme. The individual pieces measure 20 x 15 cm and are mounted in a 50 x 70 cm passe-partout and frame.
The artwork depicts a person sitting at a table. Their hands rest relaxed on the tabletop. On their head, they wear an unusual cap or helmet, reminiscent of a protective cap – a symbol of spiritual protection.
The scene conveys the message that sometimes it's beneficial… to take a break: to give the brain a rest, to relax the mind, to simply think or speak nothing. The artwork invites the viewer to consciously pause and enjoy the tranquility – a reminder that stillness and inactivity are often the best preparation for new ideas.

« "My works are a dialogue between artwork and audience, in which imagination and fantasy create new stories." »
Thomas Anton Stribick works as a painter and photographer with a diverse background encompassing both classical and self-taught training. His works combine narrative painting and landscape depiction, arising spontaneously from sketches and from an extensive archive of his own photographs. They are characterized by originality, surprise, and intuitive processes without a preconceived goal. With an intense, often reflective approach, he creates images that uniquely convey the beauty of nature, inner dialogue, and poignant social and dreamlike emotions.
