About this artwork
I have captured the vibrant atmosphere of the city that never sleeps, capturing the essence of its streets with each brushstroke. Using oil paint, my work embraces impressionism and realism, offering a figurative vision that evokes nostalgia and urban majesty. This piece radiates an energy that awakens the sensation of walking through the bustling avenues, filling your home with the life and dynamism of the metropolis.
The Grassy building located… at number 1 of Gran Vía in Madrid. The building, which marks the beginning of the street, is the work of architect Eladio Laredo Carranza, who designed it in 1916 according to the eclectic style characteristic of the time, which included abundant decorative elements with sculptural details such as the female figures on the portals, as well as of ceramic panels, some of which were drawn by the artist Daniel Zuloaga.
His work shows a mixture of realistic and impressionist styles, both awakening a great interest in the current art market. Realism attracts collectors who appreciate precise technique and detailed representation, as seen in his works of urban landscapes and still lifes. The impressionistic elements, evident in his depictions of people in environments atmospheric, they are very popular with audiences interested in emotional and expressive techniques.
