Le parole mai scritto (Words Never Written) is a work that fits into the Remake artistic movement, reinterpreting and updating an object of strong sentimental value. The 45x80 cm work features an Olivetti L32 typewriter, a tangible heirloom and memory of the artist's grandfather. The Olivetti, a central element of the composition, becomes a symbol of a past that continually engages in dialogue with the present, evoking untold stories and unexpressed… thoughts. The title itself alludes to a universe of potential discourses and narratives, confined in silence, which the work seeks to bring to light through its artistic reinterpretation.
Tommaso Maurizio Vitale, born in Bari in 1964, uses recycled materials to create paintings, photographs, sculptures, and installations. He adopts a contemporary visual language, decontextualizing and reassembling objects in a technique he calls "Remake." He uses evocative adjectives and metaphors to reveal intentions and stimulate emotional responses in the viewer. His layered and complex works express regeneration and resilience, evoking a powerful life force. The aim is to create an immersive sensory experience, inviting the viewer to "feel" the work rather than attempt to understand it analytically.
