About this artwork
Dream Time from the series Life is Beautiful is a large-format work measuring 90 x 185 cm. This series explores fabric as both image and symbol. For me, the image is like a thread that guides us through life. Some pieces appear delicate and harmonious, others coarse or irregular, yet the thread never breaks, always beginning anew. This creates a pattern that, like life itself, consists of breaks, contrasts, and new beginnings.
From a distance,… it conveys a beautiful and dreamlike atmosphere. From a different perspective or setting, it becomes clear that this life, full of tiny threads, full of weaves, full of mistakes and rightness, is still magical and beautiful. Thanks to its narrow format, this painting can be hung both horizontally and vertically, making it suitable for a variety of settings.

The German-Bolivian artist Toni Nohe studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg and the Kraków Art Academy. She works with painting, photography, and textile art. In her abstract visual language, she combines color theory with the symbolism of Andean cultures. Her works emerge from a dynamic interplay of transparency, line, and structure. She interweaves narrative and organic elements, creating spaces that facilitate harmony, joy, and reflection. She consciously uses color as a means of promoting well-being—inspired by the findings of positive psychology. Her works have been shown internationally and are included in private and public collections in Europe, North, and South America.
