About this artwork
Phoenix from the ashes
Acrylic on canvas / [add format]
Series: Invent Your Fairytale
The work radiates an energy that is both impulsive and harmonious. The vibrant colors combine in a dynamic interplay reminiscent of a celebration—the celebration of life itself. Amidst the chaos of color, the phoenix rises, almost invisibly. Its presence is unobtrusive, but tangible, a symbol of renewal and transformation. The intense red tones and the radiant… light in the center suggest the rising from the ashes, the courage to dare a new beginning through one's own strength.
(*) Invent Your Fairytale is a series of abstract picture stories – poetic, vibrant, and open to individual interpretation. Organic forms, colorful movement, and free compositions create scenes that seem like excerpts from an imaginary fairytale. They inspire the reader to discover their own meanings – sometimes playful, sometimes profound, always personal.

The German-Bolivian artist Toni Nohe studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg and the Kraków Art Academy. She works with painting, photography, and textile art. In her abstract visual language, she combines color theory with the symbolism of Andean cultures. Her works emerge from a dynamic interplay of transparency, line, and structure. She interweaves narrative and organic elements, creating spaces that facilitate harmony, joy, and reflection. She consciously uses color as a means of promoting well-being—inspired by the findings of positive psychology. Her works have been shown internationally and are included in private and public collections in Europe, North, and South America.
