About this artwork
There are days when sadness overwhelms us and the memory of the native house is so bright. When we were children, the light was always with us. Panting, we returned home and were surrounded by warmth and love.
Now we have grown up and the memory comes back sometimes to help us get through the cold day.

« "My painting is my version of reality. Or, better said, it is the world as I like to see it." »
Trayko Popov is an award-winning Bulgarian painter who has participated in solo exhibitions in Russia, Belgium and his homeland. For him, somewhere in between discovering the game of light, colors and objects, lies the illusion of life. Guided by his emotions, he paints colorful people, dolls, landscapes and anything that impresses him. Popov’s surrealistic and humorous images are created using techniques that include drawing, painting, printing and digital collage.
