About this artwork
"Passing Through Autumn Days" is a painting I created on a quiet, windless afternoon, when a nameless nostalgia suddenly stirred within me. I didn’t aim to depict autumn as a specific scene, but rather as a realm of memory, where the golden hue is not merely the color of leaves, but the color of time gently slipping through one's fingers. The trees in the painting are formed from countless tiny dots, scattered like the way autumn falls into each…
passing day of life. I didn’t try to paint detailed faces, because the girls in white áo dài are not just characters, they are symbols of memory, of days gone by that the heart still holds dear like a treasure. I named it “passing through” because autumn never lingers for long. Nor do people. But the beauty of autumn lies precisely in that- it is fleeting, just enough to glimpse before it begins to fade. Perhaps that is why the heart always softens a little when autumn returns.
