About this artwork

First school love, so many experiences, emotions, quarrels with parents. I haven't seen him for 15 years. We met by chance, on the way to work, collided in the crowd. And again so many emotions, pleasant memories. We agreed to have dinner in the evening in a cafe after work. They chatted for many hours, so many years have passed, but his smile is still the same and the same sparkles in his eyes. Night, sweet morning, coffee with cake. Only one evening,… but how I missed these emotions.

Maria Tuzhilkina is an artist based in Spain whose paintintgs have been exhibited nationally and in Russia. She describes her cubist works as "decomposing each object into its components", imbuing them with geometric shapes. In addition, Tuzhilkina endeavors to convey how color affects the shape of an object, and vice versa. Her vivid compositions are most often created with acrylics on canvas.
